With a fancy animated title screen, Borg could fool you for a second into thinking it was more than a standard Berzerk-clone. Assuming you didn't know that before booting it up. This would be cool in 1981, I admit, since you couldn't just emulate the original. The interesting bits are not very interesting. You move at what feels like a snail's pace, the enhanced level design hinders more than helps play the game. Enemies...which are dinosaurs shooting lasers, can kill each other, or at least they randomly die. It is cool that the game shouts Borg whenever the big bad of the game appears on-screen, but it isn't exciting. Its just a popscare, he moves far slower than you do.
The "feature" of this game, which I guess is the advanced level design, is not impressive. It looks cool, but its never clear what is background and what is foreground. Which makes trying to play through this unenjoyable for me. I can't feel like there's anything interesting after screen 2 anyway.
The game gets a 4. 2 player agency, 1 in graphics and sound. In comparison to Berzerk's 5, or at least the Atari 2600 version, which didn't have any voices. Surprisingly, there are going to be more games from Sirius Software, mostly on the Apple II computer.
